Interior Doors

Your entry door is one of the first individual elements of style that guests come into contact with as they enter your home.  It’s one of the first significant opportunities you have to demonstrate your style and the architectural style of your home.

We offer you an extraordinary number of doors to choose from and an expert staff to help you sort through the options.

In deciding what entry door or entry door system to choose, it’s important to start the decision process with some thought directed toward evaluating the level of exposure it will have to the sun and/or rain (or any water).  The reason is that some doors are designed and built to hold up very well to exposure and some are not.  If a door is “*well protected” then a wood door is a great option to consider.  If a door is “*not well protected” and is exposed to a “*considerable” amount of sun and/or rain (or any water) then it is advantageous to consider one of the following options: fiberglass, steel, vinyl, aluminum or a product clad in aluminum, fiberglass or vinyl with a wood interior.  Most manufacturers will not warranty a wood door if it does not meet their “*protection requirements.”  In addition to maintaining the manufacturer’s warranty, the “right door in the right opening” will help ensure that your door will operate and look beautiful for years to come.  *As with many products, proper installation, painting and maintenance play a large role as well, but starting with the right product is essential.  (* please see your manufacturer’s warranty for specific details)

We have a large selection of fiberglass doors and many of them look so much like wood that many people can’t even tell the difference between the wood and fiberglass.  Some fiberglass doors are designed to be painted and some are designed to be stained to show the look of real wood grain; douglas fir, oak, mahogany and other wood species.

With the options in mind as to what material the door will be made from, we can look at the visual characteristics.  What style door will fit the architectural style of your home and what door designs appeal to you?  Contemporary, Colonial, Craftsman . . .  What size is your door? Does your door have a square top or is it some other shape, an arch top maybe?  Is there any glass in your door or entry system?  Is the glass clear, tinted or privacy glass, single glazed, dual glazed, leaded, beveled, etched . . .   Some these choices can be made easier with the help of pictures, brochures, drawings and displays.
We’d love to have you come in to the shop or call us for assistance in helping you decide what the “right” choice is for you.  If you can’t make it in to the shop, feel free to browse some of our manufacturer’s websites using the links located on this page.

If you have a custom design that you would like to have built, please feel free to convey any photographs, sketches or ideas that you or your design partners may have and we can discuss the possibilities together.  We enjoy working on custom designs and we look forward to helping you discover, create and build the vision you have for the entry to your home.  If you’re restoring your home and you need to duplicate the style, size or shape of an existing door, we have experienced friendly people on staff to guide you through the process.

Closet doors, generally, can be the same style as the bedroom, bathroom and hallway doors or they can be different like a mirror or louver door. Closet doors operate in a variety of ways, they can slide from side to side – bi-pass, fold to the side – bi-fold, slide into the wall – pocket slider, slide on the surface of the wall – barn door style or they can swing like a typical door.

The materials utilized and combined to make closet doors are typically, but not limited to: wood, aluminum, simple or elaborate glass, mirror and are available in an almost unlimited variety of door styles.  The options in materials, combined with the methods of operation, offer you many choices to create some very interesting and custom closet door openings.  From the same materials we can also put together, pretty easily, some great looking and functioning standardized closet door openings.
